Canada – Gorffwysfa
The official residence of the Prime Minister of Canada is located in Ottawa, Ontario. Affectionately called after its address, the home is known as 24 Sussex. The house was built by parliament member Joseph Merrill Currier as a gift for his soon to be wife Hannah Wright. After her death the home was sold to the Edwards family. A few decades later the Government of Canada expropriated the land and refurbished the house as the official residence of the Prime Minister.

France – Élysée Palace
Located in the 8th arrondissement right near the Champs-Élysées, the Élysée Palace sits at just three stories high. Originally built in 1722, the building has served as the primary residence for many French politicians and personalities. In the winter of 1848 the French Parliament declared the home the official residence and workplace of the President of France.

Germany – Bundeskanzleramt
The Bundeskanzleramt, translated from German as the Federal Chancellery, is the official residence and executive office of the German Chancellor. Completed in 2001 this eight floor building was built by architects Axel Schultes and Charlotte Frank. The inauguration of this building marked the end of the German government’s move to Berlin from Bonn following the late 20th century reunification of Germany.

Italy – Palazzo Chigi
Located in Rome, Palazzo Chigi – translated to english as Chigi Palace, was built in the late 16th century for the Aldobrandini and Chigi families. Architects Giacomo della Porta and Carlo Maderno were the primary designers and builders of the project despite the building being sold multiple times during the construction process. In 1961 the building became the primary official primary residence of the Italian Prime Minister and meeting place for the Council of Ministers.
