Hello everyone
My name is Andrew Brady from Crazy Pop Media; I will be talking about the show that Monet Bullen wrote a character analysis about Epithet Erased. A partnership between VRV and Brendan Blaber created Epithet Erased.
Brendan is also the creator of the “So this is basically…” and “Welcome to…” series under the username JelloApocalypse. The show is a loose adaption of Brendan’s Roll20 Tabletop RPG “Anime Campaign”, which has been produced in a limited animation style similar to Brendan’s web series.
Powerhouse Studios was the group that animated a few of the scenes in the show, including the intro, which featured several RPG elements that were stylistically put in the show. Epithet Erased is broken up into several story arcs; each of the story arcs spotlights different members of the series, gradually increasing the cast of characters.
The First episode of the series premiered on VRV on November 8th,2019, with other premiers of the same episode made available on the JelloApocalypse two weeks later. VRV and Crunchyroll merged on May 8th of 2023, and Epithet Erased was not included in Crunchyroll’s new library.
This led to the series only being shown on JelloApocalypes, the only place to watch the show. The setting of the show takes place in Sweet Jazz City. Some of the people in this city are born with abilities called Epithets. Over the course of the series, we meet the cast as they fight over, steal, and return an artifact known as the Arsene Amulet, which is able to steal someone’s Epithet.
A little girl named Molly that gets rather stuck in the middle of this grand adventure. The intro shows this very point of the characters fighting over the same amulet. In my personal opinion, the series is recommended to anyone who likes DnD because it has some storytelling style that people use in DnD campaigns. I would also say that it is rather funny to watch.
