It’s all fun and games until the blog starts blogging and the analytics start judging
You’ve seen blog sites everywhere and about every topic under the sun. You’re reading a blog, on a blog website right now! But what does it really take to run successful blog site? Not much, just your entire time, your mental health, your soul, and your will to live. Imagine having the task of writing daily or weekly blogs with hundreds of words and images each; all sourced and written by you. Topic upon topic piling up in your brain until you’re inevitably forced to write this blog.
The burnout blog
But listen, the fun doesn’t stop there, not if you want your site to be popular. Making a blog site popular requires even more hours of your time. You need to run a social media page for your blog and post things there too. Social media has these awesome statistics tools that let you know how your posts are doing. Oh, but wait, you want to drive traffic there and track if it’s working? No worries, Google Analytics is here.
I lied, you should be very worried. Google Analytics is what happens when you combine a spreadsheet, the Internet, and Satan. Google Analytics is a cursed tool that provides you, very confusingly, with the web traffic analysis of your website. Trying to figure out how Google Analytics works or what the data means is like trying to figure out what a racoon on acid is thinking.
There is hope
Did you still want to write a blog? No worries there are good news. Did I mention I have a habit of lying about blog websites? There is no good news when it comes to blogs. Blogs are labor intensive, complicated to maintain, and impossible to track easily. So, you’re welcome, I hope you enjoyed the pieces of mental health and my soul that I left sprinkled all over this. Now to go look for the images that you saw up there and the one below, yes this is meta get into it.
